If there ever was a question over tactics salespeople should adopt when answering a sales telephone call particularly in the motor industry, Martec’s latest figures settle the argument!

With a whopping 95,000 calls from prospective customers analysed and tracked from end to end, there is a clear lead tactic salespeople would be crazy to ignore.

When a salesperson takes a call and determines to call the customer back with information in a minute, in an hour or in a week, they are 13% likely to turn that prospect into a customer.
That is 1 in every 8.

If the salesperson takes the call, determines to ring the customer back with specific figures on their car, on the prospects car, on the weekly or monthly outright payments, they are 18% likely to turn the prospect into a buyer.
That is 1 in every 5.5.

However, if they determine to make an appointment with the customer at the retailer, at the prospects house, in a car park half way between locations, they are 27% likely to turn prospects into customers.
That is 1 in 4.

If this were looking for the quickest route to a specific destination, plan 3 is miles ahead, miles ahead in terms of outcomes...and in customer experience.

Since 1991 Kia UK has sold 1 million cars, starting off with the first Kia, the Kia Pride. January 2019 has been a landmark for them.

Top Customer Service Brand
2019 is an important time for the Motor Industry and underlines the huge importance of taking every opportunity, seriously! Customers are changing their buying habits, they want an easy and quick service, especially when purchasing a car. 


In January, Suzuki GB was named the top brand for customer service!
Receiving their best ranking ever, the brand climbed 29 places compared to last year in the Institute of Customer Service’s UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI)

Amazing success and congratulations to all those involved in the Suzuki brand, delivering a great customer service!

AM Awards 2019
AM Awards are just around the corner now...
A fantastic industry event to recognise hard work and achievement for both individuals and dealer groups!


Martec wishes all the finalists nominated for awards the best of luck and also congratulations.

Jardine Motor Group Charity Ball

The Audi dealerships of Jardines have a goal of £10,000 to reach at their charity ball.

Supporting three great causes for the sixth year, Whizz Kidz, Legacy4Lucy and Promise Dreams, the dealerships in Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Shrewsbury and Erdington will raise money at their annual event this year! 

From raffles, silent auction, to a retro arcade game, the guests will enjoy a great evening full of entertainment. There will be some prizes available as part of the auctions and raffles, whereby the money raised will be split between the three charities.

Good luck to all involved and what a great event to look forward to, all for such great causes!

The team toasted great achievements. There were gifts, awards, prizes, applause, cheers and trophies. A real and genuine time of recognition and reward for the Martec Team! 
During our Awards Evening, our charity to support in 2019 was announced. 
Our chosen charity this year is Macmillan Cancer, voted by the Martec team!
Every charity event Martec gets involved in this year, the money raised will be matched and donated to Macmillan. 

All for a great cause!
